Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Hair Loss Treatment

What is PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a non-surgical treatment that utilizes your own body’s healing abilities to stimulate skin healing, repair and recovery. It has the power to trigger your body’s own tissue regeneration potential.  It is a natural treatment that uses the platelets from your own blood. When activated, platelets secrete and release at least 7 different growth factors which enhance the natural healing processes. They also stimulate growth of collagen to rejuvenate the scalp, improve the blood supply to the tissues and encourage hair growth and thickening.

PRP has been thoroughly investigated, and is used by Doctors regularly for nerve injury, tendinitis, osteoarthritis, cardiac muscle injury, bone repair and regeneration, plastic surgery and oral surgery. PRP helps treat sports injuries in professional athletes as well to stimulate healing for skin wounds and burns.

What does the PRP Hair Restoration treatment involve?

This innovative technique involves taking a small blood sample from a patients arm, popping it into a centrifugal machine where it is then spun to separate the blood cells, serum and platelets. The platelet-rich plasma is then extracted and needled back into the scalp using our fantastic Electroporation Microneedling Device along with Micro Injections for ultimate scalp / hair follicle restoration.

The beauty of PRP is not only that it's completely natural as it has come from your own blood, but also that it can be Injected / Micro Needled pretty much anywhere on the body including the Under Eye, Full Face, Neck & Scalp!

Microneedling is a procedure that creates invisible micro-channels to the scalp using tiny sterile needles. The purpose of treatment is to not only allow the PRP to penetrate into the scalp more efficiently but to also stimulate the growth of new hair.

Electroporation is a technique in which an electrical field is applied to cells along with Microneedling in order to increase the permeability of the membranes, allowing the PRP to be introduced into the cell / hair follicle more efficiently.
